About Purple Balm Training

We are Purple Balm Training

Purple Balm Training was created as a result of its sister company Purple Balm Nursing and Care Agency. Purple Balm Nursing and Care Agency has gained a reputation for providing quality staff who receive exceptional training in the mandatory skills of caring for people. We also work with other sectors understanding that the core aspects of our training are essential to them.

Recognising this, we have developed our own training facilities within our local offices and a training team that can assist you with all aspects of training from delivering mandatory subjects such as First Aid at Work, Moving and Handling of People and Objects, Health and Safety, Infection Control and Basic Food Hygiene to working with you to provide bespoke training specifically for your needs.

Our training team will work with you to provide the right solution for your business; this may be from one person attending a course at our facilities to providing a complete training intervention at your business premises.

For further booking information or to discuss your particular requirements please phone the training team on 01392 466777 or email info@purplebalmtraining.co.uk.

Jen Pascoe

My name is Jen and I am the Training Administrator here at Purple Balm. I have 23 years experience in the care industry, mostly with learning disabilities and sensory loss providing support in a school and residential settings. I then decided to have a change in direction and perused a career as a Receptionist. I have worked for both a General Practice Surgery and subsequently a Veterinary surgery.

I am now providing an Administrative role and supporting with all aspects of the busy running of the training courses that we provide and deliver. I will be your first point of contact for all your enquires and be happy to answer your training needs.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening, music, holidays and spending time with my family.

Nursing Development Manager and Trainer
Hi, I’m Sophie. Prior to joining PB I was a Practice and Community Nurse. As the surgery’s lead nurse I managed long term conditions including diabetes and dementia (I ran the local memory café for 5 years), infection control, research and tissue viability (wound management).

I was a student nurse mentor and taught clinical skills at Plymouth University. I also gained my MSc in Contemporary Healthcare.

Since starting at Purple I have become a first aid instructor, a moving & handling of people and objects instructor, I have completed the train the trainer in the common components of mandatory training. I obtained my level 3 in training & education and am currently studying the level 5.

I have a very relaxed inclusive teaching style and welcome your own experiences of working on the front line of your organisation.
